A Saturday afternoon tap list in Akihabara

Craftbeer 2mugi, located in Kanda-Izumi-cho, Chiyoda-ku, is offering six fresh draft beers on Saturday, October 17, with hours from 2:00 to 11:00 p.m. The pub is around a three-minute walk from Akihabara Station. Walk-ins are welcome, there is no cover charge, and canned and bottled beer can also be taken away.

The lineup begins with B.M.B Brewery’s “B.S.W,” a Session Brut IPA from Miyazaki. Minoh Beer’s “Peach Weizen” is a fruit Weizen from Osaka, while Yorocco Beer’s “Afterglow” is a West Coast Red IPA from Kanagawa. Both the Peach Weizen and Afterglow were listed as low-stock beers.

From Chiba, Shiokaze Brew Lab Stand contributes “Mango Impact,” a fruited pale ale. Tokyo brewery Inkhorn Brewing offers “Uguisu,” a Hazy IPA. The most unusual pour may be Libushi’s “Chilly Popper,” a Dunkel brewed with habanero from Nozawaonsen. Together, the six beers cover bright fruit character, hop-forward profiles, malt depth, and chili heat.

The food menu includes crispy fried mehikari from Ibaraki, fresh bonito sashimi from Nagasaki, and fresh green peppers with miso mayonnaise. The pub also serves soupless dandan noodles seasoned with Sichuan pepper, making it an appealing stop for both a drink and a meal.

Craftbeer 2mugi also makes a convenient stop around the October 17–18 Sumida Jazz event at Kinshi Park. After enjoying the music, visitors can head to Akihabara for draft beer and food. Cash, credit cards, PayPay, and transit IC cards are accepted.
