Manchin Brewing has been selling its new sour ale, 'TILTED TIME,' since April 4. The brew uses blueberries from Akeno Blueberry Farm, located near the brewery. With a vivid color layered over a gentle acidity, the flavor is said to include a small amount of vanilla beans as a hidden accent. On Untappd, it is listed as Sour - Fruited, 6.0% ABV, and 11 IBU.
Manchin Brewing is a brewery located at the mixed-use hub "MANGOSTEEN HOKUTO" in Akeno Town, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Together with the liquor store Manchin Saketen and the dining space Manchin Pao, it has been building a place that crosses over drinks and food. Its hallmark is the way it incorporates local ingredients into beer while making use of local fruit and vegetables, as well as the spring water from Mt. Kayagatake.
The label for this release was created by Takuro Tamayama, who has ties to the neighboring GASBON METABOLISM. During brewing, it is said that when the blueberries were added to the tank, the juice reacted and burst out, suggesting that the ingredient's presence was reflected directly in the beer. This is a release that will catch the eye not only of fans of fruit-forward sours, but also of anyone looking for something light to enjoy after a meal.
