Yellow Monkey Brewing is a craft brewery based in Nakagawa, Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama. On its official website, it says it aims to "connect people through beer and sports and spread smiles," emphasizing a spirit that values freedom and playfulness.
The announcement made on Instagram this time was for the YMB Taproom 2nd anniversary week. The event runs for 12 days, from Wednesday, April 29 (national holiday) through Sunday, May 10, under the title "Taru Meijin." It is a system for collecting stamps while drinking beer, with prizes offered according to the number achieved.
The rewards are tiered. At 6 drinks, you receive an original sticker and one canned beer of your choice; at 12 drinks, one apparel item; at 18 drinks, one apparel item and three canned beers; and at 24 drinks, one apparel item and six canned beers. In addition, by reaching 24 drinks, you will also have a sticker, three apparel items, and a total of 10 canned beers.
The stamp card is valid for 12 days, and the setup allows people to make progress all at once in a single day or enjoy it over multiple days. It is fine to join with family and friends, or to participate on your own at a relaxed pace. As a local brewery in Yokohama, YMB has framed this as a way to enjoy a milestone at the taproom alongside tasting different beers.
