VERTERE to release Belgian Pack 4-beer set featuring Belgian and Lithuanian yeasts
VERTERE, the Okutama-based brewery and beer cafe in Tokyo, will launch Belgian Pack, a four-beer set made with Belgian and Lithuanian yeasts, on August 21. A separate Lager Pack with four different lager styles will also go on sale at the same time.
Tokyo brewery and taproom VERTERE, based in Okutama, is adding a new pair of mixed 4-pack releases to its online shop.
The new lineup includes Belgian Pack, built around Belgian and Lithuanian yeast strains, and Lager Pack, which gathers four beers in different lager styles. Sales begin at 12:00 on Friday, August 21.
Belgian Pack
- Hortia / Lithuanian Wit
- Melilotus / Belgian Pale Ale
- Ruta / Lithuanian Farmhouse
- Benitoa / Belgian Blonde
Lager Pack
- Calamintha / Italian Pilsner
- Duranta / NZ Pilsner
- Nemophila / West Coast Pilsner
- Salix / Dark Lager
The brewery also announced a shipping campaign running from August 14 to August 23, with nationwide flat-rate shipping for orders of JPY 8,000 or more. For a brewery known for working from Okutama and for exploring a wide range of yeast-driven flavors, the new packs offer a straightforward way to compare fermentation character across styles.
In particular, Belgian Pack highlights how VERTERE uses yeast as part of the recipe design, moving from Lithuanian wit and farmhouse beer to Belgian pale ale and blonde.
