Minoh Brewery releases High Color Pils, an Italian pilsner
Minoh Brewery in Osaka’s Minoh City will release a new beer called High Color Pils on July 3. Built on the Italian pilsner style, the beer updates a yearly favorite with a new name and design.
Minoh Brewery, based in Minoh City, Osaka, will begin selling a new beer called High Color Pils on July 3. The release is built on the Italian pilsner style, one of the brewery’s favorite annual recipes, and arrives with a refreshed name and design.
According to the brewery’s post, German noble hops are used generously both at the brewing stage and as dry hops during fermentation. The result is described as a beer with a soft malt character, an elegant and rounded hop aroma, and a light bitterness on the finish. Fermentation and maturation are also given plenty of time, creating a pilsner that is both flavorful and clean.
Minoh Beer’s official philosophy is to brew everyday beer rather than something special, and that approach fits this release well. The new beer differs from the regular Pilsner in both recipe and hop usage, so tasting them side by side should make the differences easy to notice.
Sales start at 5 p.m. on July 3 through the online shop, with availability also expected at the WAREHOUSE taproom and at bars and retailers that carry Minoh Beer. The post also mentions a new High Color Osaru design element, suggesting that the package refresh is part of the story as well.
