Mannen Festival returns to Hokuto

Mannen Brewing, based in Hokuto, Yamanashi, has announced the return of its annual Mannen Festival. This year’s celebration will combine karaoke, food, drinks, music, and art, offering visitors a relaxed way to enjoy the brewery’s wider creative community.

The karaoke program will use the “Tegula set” sound system from the reggae club. Participants will be able to hear their voices through a large speaker system, while DJs TOSHI, Bungo, Kokutō, and MEGA-G support the performances. The format is designed to welcome both confident singers and those who simply want to enjoy the atmosphere with a beer in hand.

Food from Mannen Bao and drinks from Mannen Saketen will also be available, giving visitors an opportunity to explore the brewery’s food and beverage operations alongside the music program.

First Mannen School Festival

This year’s event will also mark the first Mannen School Festival. Participating clubs include yoga numerology, bamboo, beer, pottery, water, settlement, and reggae. Two additional clubs, UFO and percussion, are scheduled to open on the day.

The UFO club will invite everyone to call a UFO, while the percussion club will lead visitors in playing taiko drums. Nearby art facility GASBON METABOLISM will offer an additional chance to view art.

The festival will take place at MANGOSTEEN HOKUTO from 11:00 to 22:00. Admission is free. By bringing together craft beer, local food, sound-system culture, participatory activities, and art, Mannen Brewing’s festival presents a distinctly community-focused side of Hokuto’s beer scene.
