Kokubunji's BEER CAFE GAMBRINUS released its spring new menu and lineup of 13 draft beers along with its March 27 business information. The selection is centered on domestic breweries such as Baird, Koya Brewery, and Saikado, with Pilsner Urquell also on tap.
Gambrinus on March 27
The beer pub "BEER CAFE GAMBRINUS" in Kokubunji will also be open as usual on March 27. Hours are 17:00-25:00, with the last order for food at 23:00 and for drinks at 24:00, according to the notice. The post mentioned the rainy weather, a little early for cherry blossom viewing, and suggested spending time relaxing inside the shop.
Spring New Menu
This day's photo is "Tempura of New Onion and Spring Vegetables." It is a dish that brings out the sweetness of new onions and the lightness of spring vegetables, making it an easy pairing with beer. Other items include marinated firefly squid and new onions, shirasu pickled in olive oil with baguette, charred spring cabbage scented with sansho pepper, grilled turnip topped with dengaku miso, sweet-and-spicy yukhoe made with new onion, fluffy niratama, turnip and pork stir-fried with oyster sauce, tonpeiyaki with plenty of spring cabbage, and potato pancakes with shirasu, all centered on seasonal ingredients.
From fried dishes to light appetizers and heartier meat-and-vegetable dishes, the range is broad, making it a setup where you can choose pairings from hop-forward IPAs to lagers and stouts.
13 Draft Beers
The draft lineup totals 13 beers. The first two newly tapped are Johana Beer "Golden Spark" and Outsider "Cherry Boy." The former is listed as a ginger ale, while the latter is introduced as a golden ale.
Also on tap are Baird Beer "Brewer's Nightmare," Craft Beer Base "English IPA," Koya Brewery "Paradise Hazy," Craft Bank "Coffee Stout," Black Tide "Kearashi Ver. 2.0," Baird Beer "Angry Boy," Hiroshima Neighborly "Hiroshima Hinode Lager," Noboru Brewing "Hodoku," Saikado Brewing "Hanami," Blue Classic "Ura Tiger Viva Haze," and Pilsner Urquell.
While the lineup is centered on the character of domestic craft beers, the presence of the classic Czech pilsner shows the breadth of the pub's selection. Inside the sixth-floor space, it is the kind of place suited to a day when you want to take your time pairing food and beer.
In addition, under "Coming Soon!", Gambrinus "12°", Bernard "Dark 12°", Hino Brewing "Heisei Banana", Shiga Kogen Beer "Snow Monkey IPA", Noboru Brewing "Musubu", and Outsider "Sasquatch" have also been announced, making the upcoming rotation something to look forward to.
