According to the brewery, Summer Grow is built around the fruit character often associated with Southern Hemisphere hops, evoking white grape, orange, pineapple, and peach. Those aromas are layered with GOOD HOPS’ original NoWind variety and Tono-grown Saaz, creating a beer that opens with a tropical impression and finishes with a clear, structured bitterness.
Compared with some of GOOD HOPS’ recent IPAs, which emphasized hop aroma while keeping the mouthfeel softer, this release uses more malt and more bittering Saaz than usual. Wheat malt is also used to keep the texture smooth, resulting in a beer that aims to balance substance with drinkability.
The brewery says the beer was inspired by the way hops grow vigorously through the summer in Tono. As a seasonal IPA, it is designed for drinkers looking for both expressive hop aroma and a firm, satisfying finish.
