The brewery GOOD HOPS in Tono, Iwate Prefecture, began selling its canned products "MURAKAMI SEVEN LAGER" and "MURAKAMI SEVEN IPA" from 5:00 p.m. on April 8. Each beer was brewed only once, and the brewery says the quantities are limited. For general customers, a six-can pack is available, containing three cans each of LAGER and IPA.

Murakami Seven is a new hop variety owned by Kirin Brewery, and contract cultivation has continued in Tono City for several years. The developer, Atsushi Murakami, currently serves as head brewer at GOOD HOPS and was responsible for everything from recipe design to brewing for these two beers. GOOD HOPS is a brewery that aims to expand the possibilities of Japanese-grown hops, with a focus on research into hop cultivation, brewing, and processing techniques in Tono.

MURAKAMI SEVEN LAGER
- ABV: 4.5%
- HOPS: Tono-grown Murakami Seven, Tono-grown Saaz
- A design that layers a fresh, citrusy Japanese-fruit aroma over a green, grassy scent, with the aroma and flavor evolving as the temperature changes.

MURAKAMI SEVEN IPA
- ABV: 6.0%
- HOPS: Tono-grown Murakami Seven, Tono-grown IBUKI, Tono-grown Saaz
- An IPA that combines Japanese-citrus notes with a soft, fruity sweetness, and is designed to be compared side by side with the LAGER.

Murakami Seven is a hop with limited supply, and GOOD HOPS says this is a special, one-time use. The series brings together Tono's background as a hop-growing region and the fact that the developer himself was involved in brewing, making it a lineup to enjoy even for the history behind the ingredients.
