Good Hops, based in Tono, Iwate, is serving its new beer, FRESH GREEN, at its taproom. In an Instagram post, the brewery said it had received many orders within days of the release and would continue shipping the beer from autumnal Tono to customers around Japan.

According to Good Hops’ official website, FRESH GREEN is a fresh-hop ale made with the new Compact Green hop variety. The brewery describes it as a limited beer designed to express the character of freshly harvested hops. Tono is one of Japan’s leading hop-growing regions, and Good Hops works across cultivation, hop research, processing, and brewing.

The taproom will remain open from 11:00 to 18:00 during the three-day weekend from October 10 through 12. The tap list features six beers: uncountable Pale Ale, Pacific Lines, HAZY GOOD #2, FRESH GREEN, Tono no Irodori, and Xroad. Draft beer starts at ¥650 for an M size and ¥1,100 for an L size, while a three-beer tasting set is ¥1,300. Takeaway in a plastic cup is also available.

Good Hops will additionally attend Kaw徳’s anniversary sale in Morioka on October 11 and 12, as well as the Mile Championship Nambu Hai at Morioka Racecourse on October 12. Located about two minutes on foot from Tono Station, the taproom lets visitors enjoy freshly brewed beer while viewing the brewing equipment.

Canned beer can be shipped nationwide, but refrigerated delivery is required. As opening days and availability may change, visitors should check Good Hops’ official social media before making the trip.
