Evolve Beer&Kitchen in Mukojima, Sumida, is promoting a three-day BIRYANI & CURRY DAY for the July 18 holiday weekend. Hours are 1:00 p.m. to midnight on July 18, and 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 19 and 20, with a two-item curry combo available for the full run.
Beer is moving quickly as well. The previous day's Africa Pale Ale - Nitro ver. from Shiga Kogen Beer is already down to about half, and the bar adds two new beers on July 18: Buddy from Ujouten Brewing and HEY, PORTER from G-Brand Beerers.
The tap list also includes Glück from KaruizawaQ, THE PIONEERS, Dual Pepper Gyoza Sour, Throw back, Vit Natt IPA, Hysteric IPA, Masterpiec exceed, all from Y.MARKET BREWING, plus Africa Pale Ale - Nitro ver. from Shiga Kogen Beer and the standard Sapporo lager. The range spans Dortmunder, sour ale, dark mild, hazy IPA, and lager, making it easy to choose a pint to match your pace.
On the food side, the menu centers on eel-and-sancho pepper biryani, mala keema curry with kikurage, and seaweed curry with clams and small scallops. It is a straightforward fit for a beer pub that lets you eat well while you drink.
