A day to leisurely enjoy domestic craft beer in Meguro

Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE is a beer pub in Shimomeguro, Meguro Ward, Tokyo. It is known as a place that serves Japanese craft beer at its core, along with wine, spirits, and dishes that blend Japanese and Western influences. In its April 19 post, the shop announced that it would be open from 14:00 to 24:00 on Sunday and that the taps had changed, including beers carried over from the previous day.

New beers tapped that day

- Twin Peaks Mountain Brewing / Hakase no Weizen
- Kankiku Brewery / Balmy Pilsner
- Noboru Brewing / Warau
- Ise Kadoya Beer / Neko ni Hiki

"Hakase no Weizen" is introduced as a hefeweizen, an approachable beer with soft banana aroma and a gentle finish. "Balmy Pilsner" is a pilsner with a noticeable malt backbone, "Warau" is a WC-IPA, and "Neko ni Hiki" is a hazy IPA, so the styles clearly span a wide range. It is a lineup you can enjoy while comparing the balance of aroma, bitterness, and juiciness.

Other beers on offer

- Minoh Beer / Nice Bitter
- Johana Beer / Golden Spark
- Minami Shinshu Beer / Oguna Biscuit Hop
- Udon Brewing / Yuzu Oroshi Udon Hazy IPA (can)

Some beers were also marked as running low, so anything that catches your eye is best ordered early. It was a lineup well suited to a day in Meguro for tasting the personalities of Japanese breweries while pairing the beers with food as well.
