This Month's New Release

UDON BREWING, a series developed by Setouchi Brewery (Takamatsu, Kagawa), uses Kagawa-grown wheat and aromatic hops to express the spirit of Udon Prefecture through beer. This new release is "Sudachi Udon SOUR ALE," the third release this year.

In the post, it is introduced as a beer further refined from last year's well-received "Sudachi Udon Beer." It centers on a refreshing acidity, with a subtle hop-derived sweetness supporting the tartness, creating a profile that reveals its contours the more you drink. The body, made with Kagawa-grown wheat, is said to aim for a smooth, slippery mouthfeel like udon.

Behind it lies a perspective characteristic of Setouchi Brewery, rooted in the climate and culture of the Seto Inland Sea. UDON BREWING is also interesting as a series that explores the intersection of Kagawa's food culture and craft beer. In this post, photos taken in Tonosho Town on Shodoshima were also included, conveying the beer's refreshing character along with scenery typical of the Seto Inland Sea.

Sales are being announced at the brewery's attached bottle shop "Riverside 351" and the online store. With its local ingredients front and center and its light, crisp sour ale character, this is a new release that's easy to reach for as the seasons change.
