Good Hops, which cultivates hops and also works on developing new varieties in Tono, Iwate Prefecture, announced taproom information for May 23 and 24. In a post on its official Instagram account, it said it will again be open this weekend from 11:00 to 18:00, with last orders at 17:30.

The post also mentioned that the one-year anniversary campaign, which had continued since Golden Week, ended last week. Looking back on its first year of operation, it was striking how clearly the brewery reaffirmed its commitment to keep working with Japanese hops in its second year. On its official website as well, Good Hops is introduced as a brewery in Tono that not only brews beer, but also advances research into new hop varieties, cultivation, and processing techniques.

This weekend's taproom lineup will include the following three new releases.

- `Do Good`
- `Tono Belgian IPA`
- `Hajimari no IPA`

The tap list for Saturday, May 23, will also include `The Classic Hops`, `Trinity`, and `Vista Fusion` alongside the new releases. Canned beers are listed with tax-included prices, such as `Do Good` and `Tono Belgian IPA` at 750 yen each, `Tono no Kaze` at 770 yen, `The Classic Hops` at 750 yen, and `Twilight Cascade` at 770 yen.

Rather than flashy presentation, this is a post that carefully spells out what you can taste at the shop over the weekend, and it clearly shows this brewery's core focus: how to turn hops grown in Tono into beer. Through a pint enjoyed at the taproom, it looks like this weekend will offer a chance to see how Good Hops is moving into its second year.
