Danchi Kitchen Tajima, located in Saitama City's Sakura Ward, announced on Instagram a new beer menu item for its café service, "Sai no Kuni Amanatsu Wheat".
This beer is a fruit beer, based on an English-style summer ale. The alcohol content is listed at 5.3%. In the post, the brewery explained that it uses the seasonal amanatsu grown in Saitama City whole, including the juice, peel, and even the seeds, and also incorporates barley and wheat produced in Saitama City as ingredients. It is positioned as a refreshing drink that emphasizes locally sourced ingredients.
The switch will happen once the currently served "Meccha Lemon Wheat" sells out. Rather than setting a fixed launch date in advance, the menu will transition gradually in line with the availability of the existing item.
Danchi Kitchen Tajima is a mixed-use facility equipped with a café, brewery, and shared kitchen, and its official website describes it as a place to enjoy "making, eating, and learning." In addition to everyday meals and drinks, the café also offers craft beer brewed on the premises. This new menu item can also be seen as a drink that makes use of the unique character of the venue itself.
Because it is a limited offering that combines seasonal fruit with locally produced malt, visitors may want to check availability when planning a café visit.
