A new addition with a prominently coffee-driven aroma has joined the latest tap update at Entrance to Beer NOVICE, the beer pub near Kawagoe Station. This time’s highlight is "Coffee Schwarz" from Danchi Kitchen Tajima (Nishi-Urawa).

According to the post, the beer is based on schwarzbier, a lager-style dark beer, and uses house-roasted medium-roast coffee. ABV is 5.0%. It is designed to deliver roasting notes, coffee aroma, and a savory finish, with a balance that should work well both with food and on its own.

The tap lineup for the day consists of the following five beers:

- Iroha (COEDO BREWERY)
- Saison 1st (Nutori Brewing)
- Koshigaya Burgundier (NOMENDO Brew Stand)
- Coffee Schwarz (Danchi Kitchen Tajima)
- Marijutsu (Aquwa Brew works)

One of NOVICE’s charms is the chance to compare beers across local breweries. Its station-close location on the second floor of the PONO Building in Wakita-cho, Kawagoe City also gives it a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy for craft beer beginners to step inside. From a light saison to a roasted coffee beer, the tap setup offers a wide range of choices on the same day.
