New Release "Finn"
On May 21, Pecora Beer (Aso Ward, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture) introduced its new beer "#053 Finn / Finn" on Instagram. Its style is Cold IPA, with an ABV of 5.5% and an IBU of 54. Even from the numbers alone, you can tell it was designed to balance pronounced hop presence with a light, easy-drinking character.
According to the post, the beer uses rice and is brewed with lager yeast, resulting in a clear, crisp mouthfeel. The hops include Citra and Cryo Simcoe, layering in juicy, citrusy aromas. In addition, by using the concentrated hop extract Dynaboost, the brewery says it locks the aroma firmly into the liquid, allowing fresh aromatics to rise from the moment it is poured into the glass.
The name Finn comes from the cold-climate "Finnish Landrace." Pecora Beer continues to release beers with numbering, and this Finn is one more bottle in that ongoing series.
