Bibibi. is a standing craft beer bar in Daikanyama that serves Japanese craft beer together with the stories behind the brewers. In this latest “brewery on tap” feature, the bar highlights Pecora Beer.

Pecora Beer opened in January 2024 in Kawasaki’s Asao Ward and is described as the ward’s first brewery. It sits just a short walk from Satsukidai Station. Owner Yuta Fukuzawa also launched the community project Asao Hop Project, using hop cultivation to support local greening and neighborhood connections.

Fukuzawa originally worked as a craft beer fan in the corporate world, later earning a beer judge qualification before moving into brewing himself. The name “Pecora” means sheep in Italian, chosen to reflect the brewery’s emphasis on clean foam and freshness.

At the brewery’s attached beer kitchen, visitors can enjoy fresh beer alongside snacks designed for pairing. It is the kind of place where knowing the brewer’s story adds extra meaning to every glass, whether you discover it at Bibibi. or travel out to Satsukidai to drink it on site.
