Nara Brewing to Hold TapRoom Open Day on March 14, with Brewery Tours Too
Nara Brewing announced on Instagram at 17:25 on March 5, 2026, that it will hold its "TapRoom Open Day" on March 14. The venue is its brewery, and in addition to taproom service, there will be brewery tours by reservation, five vendors from within and outside the prefecture, and the opening of award-winning beers.
Nara’s craft beer brewery Nara Brewing will hold a "TapRoom Open Day" on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The venue is its own brewery in Kitano-sho Nishimachi, Nara City. Hours are 10:00 to 17:00 (last order at 16:30), and no reservation is required to use the taproom. In addition, a brewery tour led by head brewer Yasunori Namioka will be offered (reservation required, capacity limited).
At this open day, as previously announced, a key highlight will be the planned tapping of the beers "SUN" and "INTEGRAL B," which won awards at the Japan Brewers Cup 2026. Vendors on the day include knot (hot dogs, donuts), FOUR STAR PHO (pho and snacks), Akaha Chai (chai), Kore Kara Flowers (bouquets), and KISSA (snacks), making for a lineup that includes not only food and drinks but flower sales as well.
Nara Brewing was established in 2017. As for why it puts "Nara" in its name, the brewery has made clear its intention to carry the regional name outward and its responsibility to bear the place name. It offers a wide range of styles, from core beers to collaborations and limited brews, and continues its work from Nara, sending beer to drinkers across Japan. This open day can be considered one of the best opportunities to experience that approach firsthand.
The main point to note when visiting is that there is no parking. The organizers are also urging visitors to use public transportation. It looks set to be a day where you can enjoy, all at once, beer, brewing equipment, the people who make it, food, and local connections.
