A new collaboration release: a Hazy Triple IPA worthy of the "beast" name

The newly released "The Beast / The Beast" is a Hazy Triple IPA brewed as a collaboration between Nomcraft Brewing and Brew Beast Brewing (Iwate). According to the published information, the specs are ALC. 10.0% / IBU 25.4 / Carbonation 2.7vol. Bitterness is set to Low, reflecting a design meant to feel approachable despite the high alcohol content.

The hops used are Idaho 7, El Dorado, Nectaron, and Manalita. The tasting notes are big tropical, citrus, and stone fruit. Suggested food pairings include pork steak, nachos, and mozzarella cheese.

A beer to read through a Nomcraft lens

According to Nomcraft Brewing's official information, the brewery was started by Adam and Ben with the desire to "share the beers they love with more people." Its launch in Aridagawa Town was rooted in a community-oriented background of "town building through craft beer" in cooperation with the local area. This collaboration with an out-of-prefecture brewery can be seen as a release that fully embodies that open-minded stance.

Because it is a Triple IPA with a high ABV, the post also notes that drinkers should keep in mind that it is 10%. While leaning into tropical aromas and a silky mouthfeel, it is a beer to approach with pacing in mind when drinking.
