Kamakura Beer Brewing Co. (Kamakura, Kanagawa) will release the limited craft beer “Enoden 700 IPA” on April 29, 2026, to commemorate the debut of Enoshima Electric Railway’s new 700 series cars. It is the first collaboration with Enoden Area Service Co., and the quantity is limited to 700 bottles.
Kamakura Beer has been making beer in Kamakura since 1997. On its official website, the brewery says it values flavors that pair with Kamakura cuisine and enhance rather than interfere with the food, and it has delivered craft beer rooted in the region’s climate and food culture. This limited IPA can also be seen as a project based on that philosophy.
This beer was designed around the scenery experienced from the windows of the Enoden train. Its characteristics include a fruity, tropical aroma, a gentle bitterness, and a slightly amber color, and it was created with not only the newness of the cars in mind, but also the atmosphere of the route stretching from Kamakura to Shonan. The label is an original illustration by illustrator Rintomo Marutoku, depicting the 700 series and the scenery of Kamakura and Shonan in a pop style.
Sales locations are Enoden Goods Shop Fujisawa-Enoshima and Kotonoichi Kamakura. As a commemorative beer celebrating the Enoden’s new everyday life, it is a bottle likely to attract not only railway fans but also anyone who wants to enjoy Kamakura and Shonan local culture.
