Guest Beer

LANA Beer, a beer hall and beer stand in the Mizonokuchi area of Kawasaki, has added a new guest beer to its taps. The shop focuses on beer quality control and thorough line cleaning, with attentive pouring at the center of its service. With both table seating and standing space, it works well whether you want a proper sit-down session or just a quick stop for one or two beers.

The newly tapped beer is Kamakura Beer’s special seasonal release, Tianma Saison (甜麻季節). In the post, the brewery describes it as a seasonal beer brewed in a saison style with Sichuan pepper and Bulgarian coriander. At 4.5% ABV, it is positioned as a relatively approachable beer with a spicy edge.

LANA Beer says it plans to serve the beer a little cooler than typical craft beer service temperatures, which should make it a good fit for hot days. The combination of saison dryness, spice-driven aroma, and moderate strength suggests a beer that can work both on its own and alongside food.

Food pairing is also part of the appeal at LANA Beer. Since the venue offers dishes designed to go with beer, Tianma Saison should be an interesting one to try with a meal, not just as a standalone pour.
