The first release in the new series is an IPA using Elani®

Setouchi Brewery has unveiled its new product, "HOP HOPPING ROOM001." In an Instagram post, it was introduced as the first release in the company's newly launched series "HOP HOPPING," which centers on a single hop and makes that hop's character the star.

ROOM001's key hop is the new variety Elani®. According to the product description, it is an IPA that starts with soft tropical aromas reminiscent of peach and guava, then brings together deep green notes, citrus, and bitterness. It also uses oats to create a softer mouthfeel. The alcohol content is 6.5%, and the style is India Pale Ale.

On the product page of the official online shop, the aroma is described as "an IPA that begins with soft tropical aromas and brings together deep green aromas, bitterness, and citrus." It also notes that techniques designed to draw out the delicious compounds in hops have been incorporated, making this a beer that pays attention not only to aromatic brightness but also to the design of the drinking experience.

Setouchi Brewery is a brewery in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. Surrounded by the nature of the Seto Inland Sea, it handles everything from planning and brewing to shipping in-house. In addition to its standard SETOUCHI IPA and SETOUCHI LAGER, it has offered a lineup that balances regional character and drinkability, including UDON BREWING and seasonal products. This new HOP HOPPING series is positioned as a fresh proposal that brings hop character to the forefront.

In its Instagram post, the company also directed readers to its online shop. Start with ROOM001 to experience the aroma derived from Elani® and the bitterness balance that is characteristic of an IPA.
