Nutori Brewing to tap first collaboration lager with Pecora Beer on July 11
Nutori Brewing in Kawaguchi, Saitama announced its first collaboration beer with Pecora Beer, a Hoppy Lager called Nutopeko Lager, to be tapped on July 11. The release is tied to a relationship that began when Pecora’s founder trained at Nutori.
On July 11, Nutori Brewing announced a special "Nutopeko Day" and said it would tap its first collaboration beer with Pecora Beer, "Nutopeko Lager," at its own taproom. The beer will be served on a swing cask system, and the post describes it as a lager with a fresh hop aroma.
According to Pecora Beer’s announcement, Nutopeko Lager is a Hoppy Lager with 5.0% ABV and 22 IBU. The beer keeps the easy-drinking nature of a lager while layering in hop character, making it a straightforward but distinctive collaboration.
The release also reflects a longer connection between the two breweries. Pecora Beer’s founder, Yuta Fukuzawa, trained at Nutori from 2021 to 2022. Nutori Brewing itself has been brewing in Kawaguchi, Saitama since February 2021, using small tanks inside a 50-year-old apartment building. Alongside beer, the venue serves its own food menu.
Rather than being just a limited-time novelty, this collaboration brings together two breweries whose relationship was built on experience in the brewhouse. The key point to watch is how Nutori’s clean lager character and Pecora’s hop-driven approach come together in the finished beer.
