COEDO Brewery to Run a Charter Beer Train on the Tobu Tojo Line on Aug. 22
COEDO Brewery will host a special charter tour on August 22, 2026, in partnership with Tobu Railway and Tobu Top Tours. The trip combines draft COEDO beer on board, a visit to the brewery in Higashimatsuyama, live saxophone music, and catering.
Event Overview
COEDO Brewery will hold the "COEDO Beer Train Tour" on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The event is a collaboration with Tobu Railway and Tobu Top Tours, and it uses a chartered Tobu Tojo Line train to turn the journey itself into part of the experience.
On board, guests will be able to enjoy draft COEDO beer poured from beer servers. The tour also includes a visit to COEDO Craft Beer Brewery in Higashimatsuyama, Saitama, where the brewery experience continues after the train ride.
Tour Details
The itinerary begins with a 10:00 a.m. assembly at the south exit of Tobu Ikebukuro Station, followed by a 10:53 a.m. departure and a 12:02 p.m. arrival at Shinrinkoen Station. A bus then takes participants to the brewery around 1:00 p.m.
At the brewery, guests will join a brewery tour led by COEDO brewers, enjoy catering from shops certified under the Higashimatsuyama Pride program, and hear live saxophone performance. The return leg ends with a drop-off at Shinrinkoen Station around 4:50 p.m.
What Guests Receive
Each participant receives four beer exchange tickets. Two beer styles will be served on the train, and six COEDO beers will be available on draft at the brewery. Any unused tickets can also be used at the brewery.
Other inclusions are onboard snacks, meal vouchers worth JPY 1,800 in total, and a boxed gift set with three canned COEDO beers: Marihana, Ruri, and Kyara.
Participation is limited to adults aged 20 and over. The tour is capped at 150 people, with a minimum operating number of 75. The price is JPY 9,900 per person. The event will run in light rain, but it will be canceled in severe weather.
COEDO Brewery's roots trace back to an organic-farming background that began in the 1970s, and the brand has been presenting craft beer since 2006. This tour reflects that history by pairing rail travel, brewery culture, and local food into one package. Reservations open at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13. See the original article for details.
