Moji Port Craft Beer Workshop in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, is a brewery founded in 1998 in the port town of Moji Port Retro. On its official website, it says it has pursued a taste that never gets tiring to drink while following the classic styles long loved across Europe. At its directly operated restaurant, in addition to staples such as weizen, pale ale, Sakura Beer, and pilsner, guests can also enjoy pairings with house-made ham and sausages.

At JAPAN BREWERS CUP 2026, held in February at Yokohama Osanbashi Hall, Moji Port Beer’s pilsner took first place in the pale lager category. Its weizen also placed in the wheat beer category, and the brewery’s classic styles were recognized once again. What was posted on Instagram this time was news that the plaque marking those awards had arrived, giving a renewed sense of the recognition in hand.

JAPAN BREWERS CUP is known as a competition in which brewers themselves take part in the judging. Earning results in a setting where makers evaluate other makers means that the beer’s reproducibility and overall quality were supported. For Moji Port Craft Beer Workshop, which has grown up in the port town of Kitakyushu, this plaque can be seen as a record of the steady accumulation behind every glass.
