April 12: "Nine Half 9 1/2 Anniversary Festival"
The beer pub "Eden Express" in Kuromoricho, Tennoji Ward, Osaka City, is planning business hours from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026, for its Nine Half 9 1/2 Anniversary Festival. It is open to everyone, with a cash-on style that makes it easy to enjoy, and selecting your beer slowly from across the counter is very much part of the shop's charm.
Draft lineup for the day
The day's draft lineup spans lager, bitter, saison, and IPA. First, Suzume Lager (Shirozuru) is a German-style Helles. Its appeal lies in its gentle malt character and mild bitterness, making it an easy beer to pair with food. Hima Bitter (Nanshinshu Beer) is an English bitter, a style that lets you feel the flavor of the malt within its light body. The description also presents it as a beer with a memorable, lively aroma.
Saru-yama Shikao (Minoh Beer) is a Japanese saison. With a solid 7.0% ABV, it has substantial drinking power while still promising the expressive character typical of a saison. Hysteric I.P.A. (Y.MARKET BREWING) is an American-style IPA with a pronounced bitterness at IBU 77. It is a boldly assertive beer, appealing to anyone who wants to enjoy the contours of hops.
Distinctive beers waiting in reserve
The beers waiting in reserve are also worth noting. Y.MARKET BREWING's FANTASMA is a hazy IPA characterized by a balance of sweet aromas reminiscent of candy and strawberry, and grapefruit-like bitterness. Minoh Beer’s Session Black I.P.A. is brewed as a black IPA meant to be enjoyed lightly as spring approaches. Noroshi Brewing’s Noroshi COLD I.P.A. is a refreshing IPA made with freshly harvested rice cooked in a direct-fire rice cooker, giving it a clean, crisp finish.
Also waiting are St. Gallen’s Sakura and Winter Fruit Tart Ale. The former is a cherry blossom-flavored beer made with cherry blossoms and leaves, plus Ina sake rice "Izumibashi"; the latter is a fruit beer combining fully ripened figs from Ashigara with apples, ginger, and cinnamon. In keeping with an anniversary festival, the lineup features nine labels with a wide range of flavors.
