Café Beer Lineup Updated to a Lemon-Based Beer

Danchi Kitchen Tajima, located in Sakura Ward, Saitama City, Saitama, announced on Instagram that it will switch the lineup of beers served at its café. Once the strawberry ale currently being offered runs out, the next pour will be the new release, Meccha Lemon Wheat.

The new beer uses Sea and Sun Lemons grown in Kamogawa, Chiba. It is introduced as a wheat beer with a strong lemon character, made from lemons grown with low synthetic pesticide use and low chemical fertilizer, using not only the juice but also the peel and seeds. The post explains that its flavor layers sourness, sweetness, and a gentle bitterness, allowing the lemon character to come through clearly.

Danchi Kitchen Tajima is a food-themed complex that includes a café, brewery, and shared kitchen. In the brewery inside the facility, the team makes distinctive craft beer by taking advantage of the characteristics of a microbrewery that can produce small batches, and one feature is that you can enjoy the beer brewed there in the café within the same facility.

This change can be seen as an effort to add a new expression to the beer served at the café while incorporating seasonal ingredients. From strawberry to lemon. It changes not only the impression of the fruit, but also seems to bring a clearer citrus outline within the soft texture typical of a wheat beer.

The café at Danchi Kitchen Tajima is operated as a place where people can casually enjoy everyday meals. Being able to taste craft beer of the moment alongside the food is another part of the appeal unique to this facility.
