Setouchi Brewery to Release Triple IPA "TRIPLED" on March 12
Setouchi Brewery in Takamatsu, Kagawa, released the new WAVE series beer "TRIPLED" on March 12, 2026. The style is Triple IPA, with an ABV of 10.0%. With tropical hop aroma and a rich malt backbone, it is a standout beer that really shows off the series' character.
Setouchi Brewery announced the new release "TRIPLED" on Instagram and began sales on the same day. According to the post, Style: Triple IPA / ABV: 10.0%. The recipe is an evolved version based on the T-IPA (Triple IPA) created to commemorate batch 200, and it is introduced as a full-bodied design that layers a thick malt base with tropical hop notes reminiscent of pineapple and mango.
The WAVE series to which this beer belongs is a hop-focused lineup intended to express the charm of the Setouchi region in a more aromatic and powerful way. TRIPLED can be seen as a release that fully embodies that concept.
Sales channels are the bottle shop "Riverside 351" attached to the brewery and the online store. Both the physical shop and online sales are offering stickers on a first-come, first-served basis for purchasers.
Setouchi Brewery also describes itself on its official website as "a craft beer brand rooted in the climate of Takamatsu, Kagawa, in the Seto Inland Sea region," and operates a TAPROOM & SHOP. On weekdays, it offers bottles for souvenirs, while on weekends it serves draft beer. This release of TRIPLED, which combines a strong local identity with a high-alcohol, hop-forward profile, seems likely to further expand the expressive range of local breweries.
