Release overview

Minoh Beer, the Osaka-based brewery in Minoh City, has launched Coffee IPA in collaboration with TAKAMURA COFFEE ROASTERS, a well-known local specialty coffee roaster. Sales began on July 3, with the brewery’s online shop opening from 5 p.m. The beer is also being rolled out at the brewery’s direct-run WAREHOUSE taproom and at drinking spots and liquor retailers across the country.

Flavor design

For this release, the brewery selected the coffee lot COLOMBIA FOREST Pink Bourbon Creation. According to the release notes, the bean brings delicate floral notes, sweet caramel, and a tropical-fruity character. Takamura’s light-roast approach is used to draw out a fruit-like sweetness and a lingering aftertaste. On the beer side, the base recipe uses pale malt with a small amount of wheat malt, while American hops add a citrus-driven aromatic layer, creating a beer where hop character and coffee character meet in the same glass.

About the brewery

Minoh Beer was established in 1996 and began brewing in 1997. Since then, it has built its identity around classic beer styles and a local, everyday-drinking philosophy. The brewery also works with ingredients such as yuzu, local fruit, and sake rice koji, reflecting its approach to making beers that fit naturally into daily life. That long-running, ingredient-focused mindset is visible in this collaboration as well, where the brewery lets both coffee and beer ingredients show their character. The beer is listed at 6.0% ABV and 40 IBU.
