Atsumi Peninsula Brewery to Hold the Second PARIKINO Shiso Beer Event on May 9
The second release commemorative event for the craft beer "PARIKINO," created by the JA Aichi Minami Izumi Tsumamono Shipping Association and Atsumi Peninsula Brewery, will be held in Tahara City on May 9, 2026. In addition to a drink that brings out the flavors of shiso and plum, the lineup also includes live music, DJs, and farmer-led activities.
Commemorative Event Pairing Shiso and Beer
As the second release commemorative event for the craft beer "PARIKINO (Parikino)" developed by the JA Aichi Minami Izumi Tsumamono Shipping Association and Atsumi Peninsula Brewery, "PARIKINO" Release Commemoration, Second Round! Let's Toast with Shiso Beer NIGHT! will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at "Atsumi no Ichi Rei" in Tahara City. The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This event will center on "PARIKINO," which makes generous use of extracts from shiso and plum, allowing visitors to enjoy a flavor that is uniquely Atsumi. The first 100 guests will also receive one free beer, so it is likely to draw attention from the moment the venue opens.
Live Shows, DJs, and Farmer-Led Activities
At the venue, there will be band performances by "Nonhoizu," as well as DJ performances by UPDATE's CREW. On the food side, food trucks serving shiso-based dishes will line up, creating a setup that can be enjoyed together with the beer.
In addition, fellow shiso farmers from across Aichi Prefecture will also take part, offering activities such as the "Shiso Gram Guessing Game" and the "Shiso Picking Experience." On the day of the event, the shiso-and-plum juice "A Farmer's Breather: Shiso-Momo Squash" will also be sold.
A Brewery That Makes Use of Local Produce
Atsumi Peninsula Brewery, one of the largest breweries and brewpubs on the Atsumi Peninsula, offers distinctive craft beers made with local agricultural products. On its official website, the brewery says it aims to convey the producers' passion through beer and connect the richness of Atsumi to the future, and this event clearly reflects that philosophy.
Rather than being a simple announcement of a new product, the event brings producers, brewers, and drinkers together in one place, creating an opportunity to share the story behind the shiso beer itself.
