Komainu Brewery is a family-run brewery that has been brewing in Kashiwa since 2017. Centered around a small facility and an attached dining space near Kashiwa Station, the brewery has built a lineup that reflects the character of the city.

The beer drawing attention this time is Marukashi Beer, which went on sale in May. In a local feature article, the label was described as using a design that can be read as "Kashiwa-omoi" and even "Kashiwa-baka," while the bottle and cap also carry Kashiwa-inspired details. The result is a package that clearly reflects the brewery's attachment to the city and to Kashiwa Reysol.

As for the beer itself, family members who tasted it described fruity aromatics and a crisp, refreshing finish. Komainu Brewery has long produced a wide range of beers, from mainstay styles such as Kashiwa Hajime IPA to limited releases that make use of local ingredients, and Marukashi Beer stands out as a release that puts Kashiwa itself at the center.

The beer has also been listed for sale at roadside stations, Tokyu Store locations, specialty beer shops, and Bic Camera's liquor section, making it an accessible way for drinkers to get a taste of local Kashiwa culture.
