Minoh’s Seasonal IPA, Layered with the Scenery of Spring

In seasonal information published by Minoh Brewery on March 18, 2026, the release of “Blooming IPA” was announced. This is a spring-limited beer brewed every year with fully bloomed cherry blossoms in mind, and once again this year it is being positioned as “light and floral.”

The key feature this time is the combination of yeast and hops. It layers the spicy, floral aroma derived from Belgian yeast with the citrus and tropical nuances of American hops, building a richer aromatic profile. Bitterness is kept somewhat restrained, with aroma taking center stage.

Recipe and Specs (Official Announcement)

- Hot-side hops: Centennial, Citra, Cascade, Amarillo
- Dry hops: Nelson, Luminosa
- Alcohol: 6.0%
- IBU: 21
- Serving temperature: 8-12°C
- Filtration: Unfiltered

The sales schedule is as follows: restaurants and liquor retailers will receive it sequentially from March 16, and the official online shop will begin sales on March 20 at 5:00 p.m. Information on availability at the brewery’s direct-run WAREHOUSE location is said to be announced on that store’s Instagram.

Based in Minoh, Osaka, the brewery has championed non-heat-treated, unfiltered beer making and has steadily earned recognition in competitions both in Japan and abroad. That approach, which balances a local sense of place with seasonal expression, is clearly reflected in this “Blooming IPA” as well. If you are looking for a spring IPA, this is a release worth noting first.
