Kyoto Brewing joins BBW Kyoto
Kyoto Brewing has announced its participation in Belgian Beer Weekend 2026 Kyoto. The event will take place at Ohigashi-san Hiroba, directly in front of Higashi Honganji, from Thursday, October 8 through Monday, October 12, 2026. Opening hours are scheduled as 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the final public holiday.
The Kyoto edition will feature the “Flavors from Kyoto” program, bringing together Belgian beer culture and Kyoto’s food culture. Kyoto confectionery, pickles, and Kyoto Brewing will join the program, creating pairings and flavors specific to the city. Founded in Kyoto’s Minami Ward in 2014, Kyoto Brewing began full-scale brewing in spring 2015. The brewery grew from its founders’ fascination with Belgian beer and has explored how Belgian yeast can interact with hops and other ingredients.
Its core range includes Ichigo Ichie, a saison; Ichii Senshin, a Belgian IPA; and New 6-Day Weekend, a Belgian Session IPA. Rather than simply reproducing traditional Belgian styles, Kyoto Brewing develops beers with modern drinkability and compatibility with Kyoto’s food culture in mind.
