Nomcraft Brewing, based in Aridagawa Town, Arita District, Wakayama Prefecture, has unveiled two new beers to celebrate its 7th anniversary. This release is an anniversary project grounded in the brewery's journey toward "town building through craft beer," and is presented as a two-part lineup: Adam and Junya.

The first beer is "7th Revolution WCIPA / 7th Anniversary West Coast IPA". In addition to the firm bitterness typical of a West Coast IPA, this release uses a special fresh cryo hop called "Nuvo Hops." Because the hops are cryo-processed immediately after harvest, they deliver a vivid aroma and a fresh green character. The tasting notes list peach, pineapple forest, and sweet berry. Suggested pairings include game sausage, yurinchi chicken, and stir-fried leafy greens.

The second beer is "7th Revolution Sour IPA / 7th Anniversary Sour IPA". This one makes lavish use of citrus grown in Arita, combining Kiyomi orange and Kawachi bankan to bring out a refreshing acidity and juicy aroma. The hops used are mosaic, Motueka, Citra, and Galaxy, and the brewery says it has been finished as a light, easy-drinking beer suited to early summer. The tasting notes are green citrus, sour, and berry. It looks designed to work well as a food-pairing beer.

Nomcraft Brewing has continued brewing beer that draws on its ties to Aridagawa Town, where it is based in a renovated former nursery school. Even in this anniversary beer release, the brewery clearly shows its direction by pairing hop innovation with local fruit ingredients. Including its two taprooms, the Juzo location and the Wakayama City location, the brewery is expanding a community-rooted presence, and its 7th anniversary looks set to mark a turning point toward the next phase.
