On Friday, May 1, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Beer Pub Neko to Azarashi, a three-minute walk from the south exit of Mitaka Station, announced a new tap in time for the eve of the long holiday weekend. The star this time is Fujizakura Kogen Beer’s Sakura Bock 2025 from Yamanashi. As a Doppelbock, it is introduced as a beer made with about twice the malt of a regular beer and brought up to 8.0% ABV. The description says it balances sweetness, bitterness, and aroma, making it clear this is a beer to take your time with.

The tap list for the day includes 10 beers. On offer are Y.Market Brewing’s Minamichita Blood Orange IPA, Mino Beer’s Stout, KIX BEER’s Hassaku Ale, Ushitora’s Ushitora Mandarina IPA, the German Plank brewery’s Pilzarl, St. Gallen’s Shonan Gold, Yokohama Beer’s Pale Ale and Alt, and Minami Aizu Mountain Brewing’s Aizu Shiozan Suppe. With fruit-scented IPAs and ales, a stout that highlights malt depth, crisp pils-style beer, and a tart gose, the lineup offers plenty of room for side-by-side tasting.

On the food side, a seasonal spring onion item has been added: beer consommé simmered with fresh onions and served with beer bread. The potato salad also uses plenty of fresh onion, and there are toppings such as chilled tofu with plenty of condiments and sliced onion. Beer-bar staples like fries, chili beans, hearty meat and fish dishes, and penne are also available, making the menu easy to pair with beer.

Beer Pub Neko to Azarashi is a small beer pub centered around counter seats, with beer-and-food pairing as one of its defining features. In a calm setting, it is the kind of place that suits people who want to follow keg changes and enjoy each glass one by one. Since hours can be irregular around Golden Week, it is a good idea to check the business schedule before visiting.
