Himitsu Beer, based in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, announced that it will release a new batch of its white beer "Oise-chan." In a post on April 19, it referenced the local event "Okihiki" and its first pull, conveying the brewery’s recent status together with the atmosphere of the area.

This latest "Oise-chan" is a white beer styled as `white beer` and with an alcohol content of `ABV 5.5%`. It uses yuzu and coriander, which overlap with banana-like fruity esters from the yeast to create an easygoing mouthfeel and a lightly distinctive aroma. The hops are kept modest, with bitterness limited to just enough to tighten the overall profile.

The post also explains that, in addition to being easy to drink and suitable as a first beer of the day, it has a slight acidity and a layered flavor. Careful brewing brings the fruit character to the front while leaving a clean, fading aftertaste.

As for food pairings, the brewery suggests a wide range of Japanese dishes, especially delicate items such as sashimi and tempura. True to a craft beer from Ise, this is a beer designed to fit naturally into the local dining table, and it is easy to see why the previous release was also well received.
