Kagiya Brewery releases Tomorrowland, a circular beer made with upcycled used hops
Kagiya Brewery, based in Kawasaki, is offering Tomorrowland, a craft beer brewed with upcycled used hops, through the Newoman food-loss program MeGuru To, Kurasu. The release brings a circular brewing idea to Yokohama as well as Kawasaki.
Kagiya Brewery, based in Nakahara Ward, Kawasaki, makes craft beer with a flexible, experimental mindset. Tomorrowland takes hops that would normally be discarded after brewing and gives them a second life as an upcycled ingredient called Hop Gururiko. The beer is built around a simple idea: materials do not have to end their journey after one use.
Tomorrowland is being presented in MeGuru To, Kurasu., a food-loss-themed program organized and operated by STABLES. The event runs from August 8 to September 9, 2026, across selected stores in NEWoMan Yokohama, Shinjuku, and Takanawa. Kagiya Brewery is participating alongside GORA BREWERY, Yokohama Beer, REVO BREWING, and MIURA brewery, extending a Kawasaki-born project into a wider regional network.
The beer is also on sale at 2416MARKET on the 6th floor of NEWoMan YOKOHAMA, right by Yokohama Station. For drinkers, that makes Tomorrowland easy to connect with both as a beer and as a story about how overlooked ingredients can be turned into something worth tasting again.
Kagiya Brewery has long emphasized making beer with freedom and creativity, through its direct shops and taproom presence in areas such as Musashi-Kosugi, Nakahara, and Jiyugaoka. Tomorrowland carries that approach into sustainability, offering a release that is as much about circularity as it is about flavor.
