A beer born from Daikanyama

Daikanyama beer pub Bibibi. is serving DAIKANYAMA SORYO BEER, an original craft beer created through a collaboration between the Daikanyama Shopping Association, chocolatier LA BASE de Chez Lui, and Bibibi.

The beer uses cacao husks—the outer shells generated during chocolate production—as an adjunct. By giving this byproduct a new purpose, the project brings an upcycling concept into a locally rooted beer.

Brewing was handled by Kagiya Brewing in Kawasaki. The beer is a weizen, with a subtle cacao aroma and a refreshing finish. Its soft wheat character is complemented by the gentle aromatic impression of the cacao husks, giving it a profile distinct from a standard weizen.

Located in Daikanyama, Bibibi. is a relaxed beer pub known for its selection of craft beers from Japan and abroad. Enjoying this beer there offers more than a tasting experience: it also reveals the connections among the neighborhood’s shops, makers, and producers.

DAIKANYAMA SORYO BEER is a local collaboration shaped by community and thoughtful use of ingredients. It is a natural choice for anyone exploring Daikanyama with a glass of craft beer in hand.
