Kawasaki craft beer arrives at a station-connected café

Kagiya Brewery’s craft beer brand, CAGHIYA Brewery, will begin serving two beers at Tully’s Coffee &TEA Musashi-Kosugi Tokyu Square when the new café opens on Friday, October 30, 2026.

The selection includes Mellow Yellow IPA, which received a gold medal at the Japan Great Beer Awards 2026, and Daydream, known for its malt richness, refreshing bitterness, and fruity aroma. Both beers will be served in 380ml portions for ¥800, tax included.

Two distinct beers to explore

Mellow Yellow IPA offers the hop character expected from an IPA and has earned recognition in a domestic beer competition. It should appeal to drinkers who enjoy hop-forward flavors as well as those looking for a beer to pair with food. Daydream takes a different approach, combining malt depth with a clean bitterness and bright, fruity aromatics.

Kagiya Brewery is based in Nakahara Ward, Kawasaki, Kanagawa, where it produces original beers by hand. The brewery’s origins trace back to its founder’s experience with Irish pub culture during a stay in the United Kingdom. Inspired by the communal atmosphere of local pubs, the founder returned to Japan with a desire to brew beer from his hometown and eventually opened Kagiya Brewery.

Today, Kagiya serves its beers at its brewery-connected venue in Musashi-Nakahara and at tap-focused locations in Musashi-Kosugi and Jiyugaoka. The Tully’s collaboration brings its Kawasaki-made beers to a new setting: a café directly connected to Musashi-Kosugi Station. For local beer fans, it offers an easy way to discover two beers from one of Kawasaki’s community-oriented breweries.
