Kamakura Beer has announced a special seasonal release for Father’s Day: 'Chichikoukou Beer'. In its Instagram post, the brewery noted that this year’s Father’s Day beer can be enjoyed in Kamakura’s seaside atmosphere.

The beer is a West Coast IPA brewed as a limited edition of 800 bottles. According to the brewery, it clocks in at 6.0% ABV, with IBU 50 and EBC 7. Kamakura Beer says it has brewed a Father’s Day beer for the first time in several years.

The flavor profile is intentionally classic rather than trendy. The brewery describes it as a straightforward West Coast IPA built on malt and hops alone, with bright citrus hop aromas, resinous notes, and fruitiness. It is designed to be crisp and dry, with a strong but clean bitterness and a finish that does not leave lingering sweetness.

Kamakura Beer is based in Kamakura, Kanagawa, and operates as the city’s only brewery. Its beers often reflect the local landscape and seasonal character of Kamakura, and this release is presented as a beer inspired by the fresh early-summer air of the city. For drinkers who like assertive IPAs, it is a limited seasonal beer worth noting, whether as a Father’s Day gift or as a fresh addition to the summer lineup.
