A New Label Reflecting Kushima's Scenery

Nagi no Oto Brewing in Kushima City, Miyazaki Prefecture, has unveiled the label design for its new product, KUSHIMA SAISON. The release is scheduled for early June, and preparations are moving forward as a beer rooted in the local community.

The label for this release was created by Kozono, the representative of Little Park, who is originally from Kushima. The motif chosen was the Misaki horses of Cape Toi, but rather than simply depicting a horse, the design is said to weave together Kushima's nature, wind, sun, and even the warmth of its people into a single image. The brewery describes the impression of the label as "as if Kushima itself were racing across the scene."

Behind it all is the idea that Nagi no Oto Brewing has carried since its founding: "We want to deliver the beer we make to the whole country." At the same time, this time the brewery broadened that perspective slightly, and KUSHIMA SAISON was born from the idea of making a beer that would stand alongside the people of this town. The brewery has already released labels such as "YAMABIKO ALE," "TOIMY," and "SHIRANUI," each making its presence felt beyond the region, and this new beer fits into that same line of products.

In addition, the prefecture-wide Miyazaki release, "MIYAZAKI SAISON," is also brewed with the awareness of making "a beer of this land." How will the scenery and human connections nurtured in Kushima be expressed in the glass? With the label unveiling as a starting point, anticipation is growing for the flavor as well.

Before the release, the first move is to convey the atmosphere of the land through the design. As a region-limited beer, it will be interesting to see how fully it expresses the appeal of Kushima.
