A limited lager evoking the view of a World Heritage site

The limited beer "Amber Reflection," introduced by Hansharo Beer on June 1, 2026, is an amber lager with a striking amber-colored appearance. In the official announcement, it is described as a beer that seems to reflect the flames of the Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace, which once heated iron red-hot and supported cannon casting. Toasty malt character is layered with a gentle caramel sweetness, resulting in a beer that lets you feel a solid malt presence.

The flavor centers on balancing malt depth with the drinkability that is unique to lager. It has a rich malt character, yet the mouthfeel is light and the finish is clean and crisp. It is designed so you won't tire of it even after several glasses, and it can be described as the kind of beer that is easy to enjoy with food while savoring its toasty notes.

Hansharo Beer is a brewery based in Izunokuni, Shizuoka, brewing beer right in front of the World Heritage Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace. Drawing on the late Edo-period construction of reverberatory furnaces and the local history of Nirayama in Izu, it continues to craft beer around the theme of "tradition and innovation." A defining feature is its consistent practice of incorporating locally rooted elements into its brand name and beer names, reflecting the region's context in its beers.

The brewery also puts effort into combining multiple malts to broaden the flavor profile, and in its limited-time beers, younger brewers repeatedly test and experiment in pursuit of new expressions. This 'Amber Reflection' was born from that same approach. Beyond its visual beauty, its design balances malt umami with crispness, showing Hansharo Beer's signature blend of historical depth and technical focus.
