Pyracantha is presented as a pale ale with bright white-grape and citrus-like notes from New Zealand hops, with bitterness kept in check. The rest of the lineup adds variety: a punchy West Coast IPA, a fruit gose, a hazy IPA, a Kölsch, and a milk stout.

Food options also help define the place as a full beer-and-meal stop. Recommended items include lamb biryani, Genovese salt dogs, fig karasumi, zeppole-style fritters, fried chicken, and homemade tuna pasta with yuzu-kosho cream sauce. It is the kind of neighborhood beer bar that works for a quick stop after work or a longer night of tasting.
