The brewery Better life with upcycle in Ebina, Kanagawa Prefecture, announced the release of its Pilsner on Instagram. According to the product page, this beer is a German Pilsner. It has a brilliant golden color, a light body, grain-like flavors from the malt, and floral, herbal hop aromas, making it an easy-drinking lager that never tires the palate.

The brewery has been developing upcycled craft beer that uses bread crusts generated during the baking process, built on top of a bakery that has been around for 100 years. Among its standard products centered on bread, items such as Bread Crust and American Wheat stand out for a product design that connects the background of the ingredients to the flavor. Because bread making and brewing have been cultivated at the same site, that awareness extends not only to how ingredients are used, but also to the drinkability that fits naturally into everyday meals.

This Pilsner has ABV 5.0%, IBU 32, SRM 4, comes in a 350 mL can, and is priced at 555 yen (tax included). With the straightforward drinkability typical of a classic style, it also pairs well with food. For a brewery that champions upcycling, this is a beer that conveys both the brand's individuality and the timeless appeal of beer in its most classic form.
