Better life with upcycle has opened Third Grain, its first taproom-cafe, in Yokohama's Bashamichi area. The space serves bread and coffee by day, then craft beer and food in the evening, giving the brewery a new place to share its story.
The brand is based in Ebina, Kanagawa, and began as a bakery before expanding into beer and gin through an upcycling approach. It has focused on creating new value from ingredients such as bread crusts and other overlooked parts of food production. Third Grain brings that background into a physical space where visitors can experience it directly.
For guests who do not drink alcohol, the menu also includes fiber-rich sandwiches made with malt dregs bread, plus coffee and sweets. The location is easy to reach from Kannai and Bashamichi stations, making it a convenient stop for people exploring Yokohama.
