Isekadoya Beer will hold its 29th anniversary festival at Shimono Brewery in Ise, Mie Prefecture, on April 18. Admission is free, and along with advance beer tickets and anniversary-limited items, a pre-event and brewery tour are also being offered, making this a multifaceted way to enjoy the milestone.
A Day to Celebrate 29 Years at the Brewery
Isekadoya Beer (ISEKADO) will hold its 29th anniversary festival on April 18, 2026 at Shimono Brewery in Ise, Mie Prefecture. Admission is free, and in addition to beer service, there will also be sales of limited-edition items and related events.
Advance tickets for drinks at the anniversary festival are priced at 3 for 1,500 yen, 5 for 2,400 yen, and 10 for 4,500 yen. On the day, they will be sold at 600 yen per ticket, and advance purchases are accepted until noon on April 17. On the day of the event, the program is scheduled to begin with opening remarks and a toast, followed by live performances, DJ sets, brewer introductions, and a raffle.
The Spotlight Is on the Anniversary-Limited "Nikukyu IPA"
The standout item at this year’s anniversary festival is the limited beer "Nikukyu IPA," named after the number 29. It is designed as a West Coast IPA and introduced as a beer made to pair with meat dishes. Its lively aroma and crisp bitterness make it a style that should fit well with the food served at the anniversary event.
The venue will also feature anniversary goods such as the 29th Anniversary T-shirt, Nihiki tenugui, and an assorted set. Offering ways to drink, take something home, and keep a memento makes this event especially varied.
The 29th Anniversary Expands with a Pre-Event and Tours
The 29th anniversary festival does not end on the day itself. On April 17, an all-you-can-drink pre-event will be held, and on April 19, there will also be a brewery tour led by brewers and a pilgrimage tour guided by the company president. The intensity of the anniversary can be enjoyed across the days before and after as well.
Isekadoya Beer began as a craft beer brand in 1997, built on the foundation of the long-established Ise-based Nikenchaya Kadoya Mochiten. Backed by years of brewing rooted in the local community, it has long promoted the idea of "From Ise to the world." Holding its 29th anniversary in Ise, Mie Prefecture, this year’s festival looks like a chance to once again feel the path it has taken.
