New Original Beer in Katsushika Ward's Horikiri Shobuen
Kichi Brewing has newly tapped its original beer "E.T.ea." The style is `Blonde Ale w/ Lychee & Jasmin Tea`, with ABV 5.2% and IBU 20. In the post, it is introduced as a beer made with tea leaves purchased during a trip to Vietnam this January, combined with lychee tea leaves and jasmine tea.
What makes this beer stand out is its layered aroma, drawn out by steeping the tea leaves slowly in the wort after fermentation. Juicy lychee-derived fruitiness, jasmine's floral brightness, and a subtle acidity overlap, finishing with a light bitterness. The result is dry and easy to reach for even in the humid, sticky season ahead.
Kichi Brewing is a brewery in the Horikiri Shobuen area of Katsushika Ward, Tokyo. One of its biggest attractions is that you can drink its house-brewed beer on site, made in the brewing space at the back of the shop. It is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of a brewery while checking the finished quality of its latest creation. This time, the star is not a guest beer but a new house brew. Beer lovers will want to enjoy it alongside the other beers on tap and compare them side by side.
