Tapped beer

On August 21, Kichi Brewing in Horikiri-Shobuen, Katsushika, Tokyo, introduced a new original beer called "Ça va Lager." It is a lager with 5.0% ABV and 20 IBU, designed to stay highly drinkable even in hot weather.

The beer is made with lager yeast and French Aramis hops. According to the brewery's post, it opens with a sweet, floral aroma, followed by a malty fullness and orange-like fruit character. The bitterness stays gentle, and the finish is clean and dry.

The name "Ça va" is a French greeting meaning "How are you?" The post also mentions a French couple who visits Horikiri-Shobuen every year, and the beer appears to be named as a nod to their annual return and shared toast.

As a brewery in a downtown Tokyo neighborhood, Kichi Brewing offers a setting where local character and fresh beer come together naturally. Ça va Lager looks like a good fit for drinkers who want a lager with aroma, balance, and an easy finish.
