Baeren Brewery (Morioka, Iwate) will hold its Barley Harvest Festival 2026 on Saturday, June 6. This is the second edition of the event, following last year’s first run, which was well received. The company describes it as an opportunity to "experience the origins of beer brewing."

The venue is Takahashi Farm, a barley producer. In addition to taking part in the barley harvest, participants will also enjoy BBQ. The highlight is being able to feel, right in the field, how the barley they harvest will eventually become Baeren beer.

Transportation on the day will be by microbus, and on the return trip the group will pass through the vicinity of Tamamachi before heading back to the Kitayama factory. If you get off along the way, you can also join Morioka’s famous event, Tama-machi Yoiichi. The fee is paid on the day at the meeting point, and only cash or Baeren gift certificates are accepted.

Applications are limited to the first 20 people. The number of spots is set according to the bus seating capacity, and registration will close once the limit is reached. Applications and detailed notes can be checked on the information form.

Baeren Brewery is a brewery headquartered in Kitayama, Morioka City, and it has continued making beer while respecting traditional European beer culture. This year’s harvest festival deserves attention as a distinctly Baeren-style event that connects the source of its ingredients with the brewing process.
